Nauset Neighbors accepts its 100'th member

Published on 1/31/2012

Nauset Neighbors has just accepted its 100th member.  Ken and Jane Gardiner just became members 99 and 100.  The total membership is expected to exceed 100 before the day is out as another couple will be admitted later today, bringing our total membership to 102.

Fittingly, Ken Gardiner was one of the original organizers of Nauset Neighbors, participating in the very first discussions in the fall of 2009 about the possibility of creating a "village".  Ken had been thinking about the possibility of forming a village for some time before the Nauset Newcomers Volunteer committee began its exploration of the concept of creating a village.

Nauset Neighbors began delivering services on Valentine's Day of 2011 with 37 members.  The organization has grown steadily, and now has over one hundred fifty active volunteers helping members.  In order to keep accepting new members, Nauset Neighbors needs a corresponding number of new volunteers.  Please consider volunteering.
